Kuwait University is preparing to implement a face recognition attendance system to enhance efficiency and simplify administrative processes. This new system, developed by the Center for Information Systems, will be available through the Kuwait University application.
This project is in line with the directives of the Civil Service Council, which encourages the use of advanced technology to improve administrative performance and ensure workplace commitment. Ms. Najla Al-Shishtawi, System Development Supervisor, highlighted that the project has received significant support from the university's leadership. She stated: "The face recognition system reflects the university's commitment to digital innovation. Starting January 2025, this system will become mandatory for all administrative and technical staff." She added that the system aims to enhance service quality, improve attendance monitoring, and reduce procedural time.
Eng. Anwar Al-Mousawi, Director of the Center for Information Systems, stated: "This project represents an important step towards digital transformation at Kuwait University. Our goal is to provide an advanced technology that contributes to achieving the university’s vision for developing administrative and operational workflows, with a focus on accuracy and efficiency."
The Center for Information Systems is working in coordination with the Human Resources Department to ensure the system's implementation across all university locations. Training sessions and clear guidelines will also be provided to ensure employees can easily adapt to the new system.
