Department of Quality Assurance

The Department of Quality Assurance  is responsible for ensuring and maintaining quality across all systems, projects, and services provided by the Center, according to approved standards.

  1. Study and analyze new system releases, assess their feasibility for implementation, and develop necessary plans.

  2. Prepare timelines for the execution of tasks related to the Quality Assurance Section’s projects, aligned with the Center’s general plan.

  3. Monitor recent developments in information technology and computer applications, and provide reports on relevant updates.

  4. Ensure compliance with the national IT governance framework and practices at Kuwait University in collaboration with the Central Agency for Information Technology.

  5. Verify the application of agreed standards in analysis and programming across other departments, and ensure proper documentation.

  6. Monitor and update all system documentation regularly.

  7. Continuously monitor system software performance and propose solutions to enhance system efficiency.

  8. Evaluate the effectiveness of existing systems and analyze the feasibility of new systems that may be introduced in the future.

  9. Assess the performance of the IT infrastructure and systems and provide technical recommendations for improvement.

  10. Establish and ensure the application of standards to all new services and projects.

  11. Collaborate with other sections within the Center to implement assigned projects.

  12. Conduct feasibility studies on the latest technologies available in the field, to determine their effectiveness and relevance to the needs of users at Kuwait University.

  13. Develop timelines for the execution of the section's projects included in the Center's general plan.

  14. Prepare the annual operational plan for the section based on the proposed budget and the Center’s strategic plan, and oversee its implementation upon approval.

  15. Contribute to the preparation of tender documents for new projects and evaluate technical proposals to select the most suitable options.

     

This department ensures that all systems and services meet high-quality standards, aligning with the Center’s strategic goals and continuously improving operations to serve the university effectively.
