As part of its efforts to enhance the digital competencies of its employees and improve electronic communication tools across its departments and community, the Center of Information Systems at Kuwait University organized a training course aimed at elevating technical performance in the field of website design and management. This course aligns with the university’s commitment to keeping pace with the latest technological developments and facilitating online access to its services while maintaining the highest quality standards.

The center, represented by the Department of Electronic Portal and Support Applications, hosted the five-day course from September 25, 2024, to October 1, 2024. Participants were trained to use Drupal technology in developing effective websites that serve the university’s objectives and foster communication with diverse audiences.

Engineer Anwar Al-Moussawi, Director of the CIS at Kuwait University, emphasized that the course aligns with the university's vision of enhancing its digital presence by providing advanced platforms that improve user experiences for students, faculty members, and the general public. Al-Moussawi stated, "Website development goes beyond improving design; it also involves enriching content to meet global standards, ensuring the delivery of high-efficiency, user-friendly electronic services."

Al-Moussawi pointed out that the center works to empower various university departments to utilize the latest technologies, highlighting that the goal is to build integrated websites that effectively support both academic and administrative activities. He added, "These websites serve as the university's main gateway for communication with the academic community and the broader public, playing a critical role in the university's strategy to deliver advanced digital services."

He further stressed the importance of continuous technical support, explaining, "The center provides daily remote support via the 'Teams' application to ensure smooth operations and to address any challenges participants may encounter while designing websites or entering data."
